EXTI is an acronym for External Interrupt. This is simply a GPIO pin with the ability to run previously defined program part immediately after appearing the specific signal, e.g. rising edge or just logic high level.
RoboCORE has 11 EXTI inputs: 5 in hSensor ports and 3 in each of two hExt ports.
External interrupt can be used for the real-time processing of signals, such as: - signals from limit switches (necessity of stopping the motors immediately) - signals from high-priority sensors, - synchronous communication interfaces, and other signals that need an immediate action.
